The KTU Pilot Continues with Its Cybersecurity Training Courses

The augMENTOR project is proud to share that Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is successfully advancing its pilot activities by repeatedly delivering the Cyber Security for Defence Professionals course.

Since its initial launch, the course has been run several times, consistently attracting participants who seek to strengthen their cyber security expertise. The latest edition, which started on March 30, 2025, continues this positive trend, offering participants a comprehensive, hands-on training experience focused on assessing and exploiting web vulnerabilities.

Developed as part of the EU-funded augMENTOR project, and supported by the Austrian Centre for Peace and the European Security and Defence College, the course offers a practical, self-paced learning path. Participants engage with essential topics such as DNS and HTTP protocols, SQL injection, and authentication bypass, enhancing their ability to both understand and defend against web-based threats.

Designed to be completed in just 8 weeks with approximately two hours of study per week, the course balances flexibility with high-impact learning. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate issued by Kaunas University of Technology, endorsed by the Austrian Centre for Peace and the European Security and Defence College.

The repeated successful delivery of this course highlights KTU’s leading role in building stronger cyber resilience within the European security and defence community. augMENTOR celebrates these achievements and looks forward to further strengthening professional competencies through its ongoing pilot activities.
